Nina Iskandar is best known for playing the leading role in her blockbuster movie, Muka Surat Cinta which was released in the region in January of this year.
She is also the first Bruneian actress to have signed a major contract (5 years) with one of Malaysia’s biggest film producers, Metrowealth International Group.
Within one year of being with MIG, she has already filmed four movies, all of which are scheduled to be released this year. Her drama series, ‘Jika Itu Takdirku’ is currently airing on TV3.
Prior to becoming famous, Nina was a part time actress in Brunei appearing on local TV. This is a dream come true for her to be acting on the big screen. Nina believes that although Brunei’s entertainment industry is small, “Brunei has talent” and humbly said that “she is definitely one of the many examples”.
For the aspiring actors, Nina’s message to the local entertainment industry is clear-: the journey is not going to be easy, but if you are willing to put in the hard work and sacrifices, you can do it too!
